Description
George Edward Hunt (1892-1960), an Arts and Crafts silver Saint James the Greater Apostle spoon of large size, Chester 1950, stamped ‘GH‘ in a shield for George Hunt to the bowl and accompanying the hallmarks to the stem, the planished fig shaped bowl with a short rat tail to a square section stem, the finial cast as Saint James the Greater holding a pilgrims staff in his right hand and and open book in his left, rayed nimbus, approximately 22.7 cm long overall, bowl 6.4 cm across and 7.5 cm long, 105 grams (3.3 troy ozs) gross (Ref S268)
