Caroline Lytton (Lady Caroline Mary Noel Lytton), an Arts and Crafts style silver caddy spoon, London 1990, makers mark ‘CL‘ in co-joined lozenge shaped cartouches, the deep scalloped shell to a fiddle pattern handle with arrow like incised linear decoration, approximately 9.4 cm long, the bowl approximately 3.4 cm wide (Ref S+794) SOLD
Lady Caroline Mary Noel Lytton (1947-2017) was the eldest daughter of the 4th Earl of Lytton OBE, her mother being the former Clarissa Mary Palmer. Her siblings are John, 5th Earl of Lytton, the Hon Roland Lytton, Lady Lucy and Lady Sarah Lytton.
Caroline Lytton was one of thirty one members of the Association of British Designer Silversmiths who contributed to make up the Millennium Canteen. her contribution was a fish knife and fork. Other contributors included Michael Bolton, Brian Asquith, Wally Gilbert, Kay Ivanovic, Brett Payne, Pruden & Smith, Simone ten Homple and Keith Tyssen.
