Robert Allison & Son (attributed) of Iona, a large silver amazonite set Scottish plaid brooch, Glasgow 1953, vague incuse ‘RA‘ in an oval probably for Robert Allison & Son, also stamped ‘Scotland‘, the brooch 5.8 cm by 5 cm, the oval amazonite cabochon approximately 3 cm by 2.2 cm SOLD
Interestingly this makers mark is noted from 1954, but as the Glasgow date letter changed in July of each year then one assumes the mark could have been registered in the second half of this date letter’s period, i.e. January-June 1954.
