Narissa Mather, silver paperknife, Birmingham 1996 SOLD

Narissa Mather, a handmade silver paperknife, Birmingham 1996, ‘NM’ mark for Narissa Mather, 16.8 cm long, Narissa Mather is a BA (Hons), based in Leek, her current work is inspired by the Victorian Gothic architect William Burges, best known for his work on Cardiff Castle and Castell Coch for the Marquise of Bute. This paperknife represents a relatively early piece in her career and was a one off. To my mind it displays the influence of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Josef Hoffmann. SOLD

Narissa Mather undertakes commissions as well as carrying a range of her items.
