Description
Martkstrom Guldsmeds Ab Kg, a silver and parcel gilt onyx set ‘Snowflake‘ box, Uppsala, Sweden, 1952, stamped with the trade mark for Markstrom being a letter M with a crown above, ‘MGAB‘ for Martkstrom Guldsmeds Ab, town mark for Uppsala, the date code, the Sweden three crowns mark, and ‘S’ for silver, the inside of the cover also similarly marked, the two part cylindrical swept shaped box with pull off cover having an applied snowflake cut out design centred with a 6 mm diameter black onyx cabochon, set over a gilded concave centre to the cover, the interior of the cover and box gilded, the overall height approximately 8.5 cm (Ref S632)
