Description
Gladys and Charles Mumford, a large Arts and Crafts green agate set silver brooch, Falmouth, circa 1960, stamped ‘Silver’, the oval agate panel measures approximately 30 mm by 20 mm, the brooch approximately 9 cm long (Ref S+2290)
This brooch displays all the elements that the Mumfords employed in their work, present here all in one piece. From the cut setting to the quatrefoil flower heads formed from jump rings, twisted and plain wire, and of course their trade mark cut leaves, utilised in this much larger than normal example.
