Nanna Koppel, for Georg Jensen, a silver ‘Fusion‘ centre ring, #368, Denmark, 1993 London import mark, sponsors mark ‘GJ Ld‘ for Georg Jensen Ltd, stamped marks, dotted oval enclosing Georg Jensen, numbered ‘368‘, ‘Sterling’ and ‘Denmark‘, this is a central section for a Fusion ring, but can be worn on its own, finger size L 1/2 leading edge, inner diameter approximately 17 mm (Ref S+1034)

The Fusion ring, as we know them today in white and yellow gold, are based on a design by the daughter of Henning Koppel, Nanna Koppel. First introduced in silver in 1987, initially there were three rings and a bracelet. It is not known when the silver examples were dropped from production, but as we see here it is likely to have been in production for at least six years.
