Alexander Ritchie of Iona, a silver brooch, Glasgow, 1928, unusually stamped with three variants of Alexander Ritchies marks, firstly ‘AR‘ in the double circles cartouche, commonly referred to as the ‘spectacle mark’, along with Glasgow hall mark along the bottom edge, to the centre is ‘A.R.‘ incuse over ‘Iona‘ in a cut corner rectangle, and above is engraved ‘A.E.R‘ followed by ‘Iona‘ although the inscription is faint in parts, 4.2 cm diameter overall (Ref S 623) SOLD
