Georg Jensen style silver Bird and Berries brooch, American, stamped ‘Sterling’, Longship logo, ‘Genuine Norse’ beneath and ‘Reg U.S. Pat Off’, circa 1945, 5.5 cm diameter SOLD
As I understand it, during the war years the Georg Jensen smithy in Denmark was unable to produce any meaningful out put. Lunning running Jensen in New York negotiated with various companies, such as Danecraft and Corocraft, to produce Jensen designs. This apparently all unknown to the company back in Denmark.
