David Lawrence Silverware, a silver and enamel brooch, Birmingham 1963 SOLD

David Lawrence Silverware, a silver and enamel brooch, Birmingham 1963, David Lawrence Silverware mark struck twice, 6.3 cm long, with alternating blue and olive green enamel panels and open work panels.  SOLD

This displays the influence of Scandinavian design that was to hold sway from the post war to the end of the century. In particular it puts one in mind of the work of Uni Andersen for David-Andersen in Norway. It is also interesting to note, apart from this date figuring early in the lifetime of David Lawrence Silverware, I have only ever seen two pieces of jewellery by this company including this piece .
