James Donald Greig, bloodstone set pendant on chain, after a design by Norman Grant, Edinburgh 1980 (Ref S344) SOLD

James Donald Greig, a bloodstone set pendant on chain, after a design by Norman Grant, Edinburgh 1980, stamped ‘JDG‘ for James Donald Greig, the circular pendant aproximately 3.7 cm diameter, the cabochon 8 mm diameter, trace link chain 60 cm long (Ref S344)  SOLD

James Donald Greig and Phyllis Hunter Greig of East Dene CraftsInverness registered their mark with Edinburgh in 1976, lapsing in 2006. It is known that Norman Grant would often take on students to work in his workshop producing his pieces and it might well be that James Greig was one and carried on making this simple yet effective design himself. Alternatively this may well be by Norman Grant and it has been overstruck by James Greig.
