George Edward Hunt (1892-1960), an Arts and Crafts silver Maidenhead spoon, Chester 1929, stamped ‘GH‘ in a shield for George Hunt to the bowl and accompanying the hallmarks to the stem, the planished fig shaped bowl with a drop heel engraved with a grotesque mask to a square section stem with engraved leaf motifs topside and incised sides, then a square knop and a round section stem above with engraved wrythen decoration, the finial cast as a bust of a maiden, approximately 21.4 cm long overall, bowl 4.7 cm across and 6.8 cm long, 63 grams (2 troy ozs) gross (Ref S277) SOLD
