In the Watch Maker, Jeweller & Silversmith November 1963 edition it mentions that the winner of the City and Guilds London Institutes silver medal in that year (with a contribution from the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths) for goldsmith and silversmith work, was Frank Roger Clark of the L. C. C. Central School, receiving not only the medal but £7. In the same article interestingly it mentions one Jack Spencer of Sheffield College of Arts and Crafts winning the Goldsmiths’ Company second prize of £5.
