Bent Gabrielsen, 14 carat gold ruby pendant and chain, circa 1975 SOLD

Bent Gabrielsen, a ruby set 14 carat gold pendant, on a hand made gold chain, Denmark, circa 1975, stamped ‘Gabrielsen’, ‘BG’ monogram for Bent Gabrielsen, ‘585, ‘Denmark’, and numbered ‘785’, chain stamped ‘Gabrielsen’, ‘585’ and numbered ‘617’, pendant 4.1 cm, chain 39.7 cm SOLD

Bent Gabrielsen, designed for George Jensen, and also designed and worked for Hans Hansen. In fact by the time he  left Hans Hansen in 1969 their entire output was solely that of Gabrielsen. From there he set up ‘Gabrielsen’s Guldsmedie’ in Vejle, Denmark, it was a conscious decision to keep the company small. So small in fact it consisted of just Gabrielsen himself and his wife! Therefore the work of Bent Gabrielsen from his own workshop is extremely hard to find and very little comes to market. It is even more unusual for his gold pieces to become available.
